We are all settled in at the new address, if you've forgotten to change your RSS feed and you're wondering where everyone is:

If you are thinking of moving a blog, I can't even say if I recommend it or not. I mean, I guess I DO recommend it, since I'm not changing my mind and coming back. So many things are better---but several major things (the photos, mostly, which "move" sort of but still technically live at this blog, and so this blog can't be deleted without deleting them) are an enormous headache. And of course all the links on the whole internet go to THIS blog instead of the NEW blog.

Isn't there a setting where you can just forward anyone who clicks on the blogspot link to go directly to the other one? I might be making that up. Let me look.

I guess I made that up. I can't find it. Sorry.

No, there definitely is a way to do it. I was thinking it might be really hard because the URLs are a little different over there, but then I noticed that there's a redirect to make it easier!

http://swistle.blogspot.com/2009/01/reader-question-sleep-issues.html > swistle.com/2009/01/reader-question-sleep-issues (removed the .blogspot and .html) > redirects to the new link, http://www.swistle.com/2009/01/18/reader-question-sleep-issues/

Oh, and a google search gave me this little tool, but I don't know if it would be easy or easy to convince Paul to finagle with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/blogger-to-wordpress-redirection/

I don't think I'm even computery enough to know what you guys are talking about. I mean, I know what a redirect is, but not what I would do with the middle paragraph that starts with http and ends with sleep-issues/---if anything. Like, I am SO LOST on this topic, I don't know if you are demonstrating something, or if you mean that that is supposed to be inserted somewhere. I guess I'll ask Paul. I just HATE this WHOLE MOVE.

And this is why I suffer through blogger issues...I don't have enough technical know-how to move. Unless I just quit and start all over.
