One Last Giveaway

As promised yesterday, we're having one more giveaway even though the CPSIA scare has been postponed. I was really glad that the donor was willing to still give this prize, because it's such a fun one: the artist Rachael Rossman has offered one of her Name Paintings! If you read Dooce, you've seen Rachael's work there.

I think this is a PRETTY SQUEEISH prize, and I don't know WHY I even DO these giveaways when all they do is make me ENVIOUS of the winners. But your happiness is my happiness, etc., etc., so let's do this thing!

The prize is one Name Painting, with, obv, your choice of name. (Tease: the real name of one of my kids is one of the samples.) She'll paint it to match room decor and interests, too, so, like, you can do a kid's name in pinks and princesses or in greens and sports or in pinks and sports, or whatever. You could also do it with a surname---it seems like that would make a good gift for parents or grandparents who are hard to buy for. Maybe not in the princess theme, then.

To enter, leave a comment on this post before Sunday, February 8th, at 4:00 p.m. U.S. Pacific time. (Need something to say? You could guess which name is the one that's the name of one of my kids, but I'm not saying if you're right or not so that's kind of an over-tease and maybe you just want to say your favorite color instead.) I'll choose one random winner to envy.

I bet I could also guess which one of the samples is your kids' name. We should get a double entry if we guess that right. :)

My favorite is the dinosaur themed one. Really great.

Hmm, I have a pretty good guess on the name. But I totally need one of these

theprincessofquitealot2 said...

I say it's Ella.

And Erin? I love that show!

Annika said...

It drives me nuts when I get used to a blogger's kids' names and then I find out they are aliases. IT'S TOO CONFUSING. So I refuse to believe that your children are named anything other than the names you use here.

d e v a n said...

SO CUTE!! And I guess that it's Jack, although I know you won't tell me if I'm right. I still think I am. ha!

Melissa said...

I'm getting in on this, very unique paintings :)
I'd love one with pink and purple butterflies :D
Thanks for the chance!!

Heather C. said...

Oh, and I really hope your baby's name is Owen, because I love that name.

Heather said...

SO CUTE! I'd love to win one!!

Jen said...

These are ADORABLE. I would love to win one!

StephLove said...

I guess Ella because it's similar to Elizabeth. When I use psuedonyms in my blog (which I do for some people and not others) I usually try to pick a name that feels the same to me.

p.s. If your kids' names are similar to the ones you use in the blog, I like your taste in names.

Misty said...

These are so so pretty! And I couldn't possibly pick a name. Especially when I couldn't know if I was right or not.

maggie said...

Well, since one of the names is MY kid's name, I have to have one. Right?!

Miss Grace said...

I want.

Lisa said...

Alright, I'm gonna guess the names.

I think if one of your boys' names is up there I'm thinking Owen or Evan.

I think William might be Owen.
I think Robert might be Evan.

Or a guess for your girl...For Elizabeth, I'm going to guess either Ella or Reagan. I have a Reagan Elizabeth, so of course I'm led that way.

That would be really cool if I guessed right...of course, making 4 guesses helps.

Swati said...

I'd love to gift this beauty to a friend's daughter!

Barb @ getupandplay said...

This is perfect! My little boy is due March 27!

Rachel said...

My Zachary would love one of these with trains and animals.

Clarabella said...

I'm gonna guess either Jack or Evan.
And my favorite color is green.

samantha jo campen said...

I'm obsessed with name stuff and this would be PERFECT for Theo's room. And hey, totally easy because that's only 4 letters!

Btw--I say Reagan FTW!

SarahO said...

SQUEEE! I love these!!

I love the idea that anyone who guesses your child's real name gets two entries in the drawing! I guess "Anders."

Emily R said...

Your kid's name is Evan.

Marie Green said...

I love these! I'm going to guess that Elizebeth's real name is Ella.

Mrs. CPA said...

I need one of these!

Farrell said...

These are awesome - they would also make a great "welcome baby" gift for a friend or relative, don't you think?
My daughter Sophie would love one. Like any typical 4-year old girl, she is into princesses and sometimes fairies too. But also wild animals (esp. lions and wolves). Her room is decorated in a "Little Mermaid" theme.

ikate said...

Oh - pink and green with monkeys would be my selection. This is awesome!

Hairline Fracture said...

How adorable are these? I am not even going to guess your child's name so I'll just say that my favorite color is green.

One of my kid's names is there too..!

Kathy said...

I would love one for Emily and I would do an amusement park theme - pretty cool huh? The paintings are gorgeous!

Sheena said...

So cute. I would love to win one, but then of course, I'd have to get one for the other child and baby due in July... Still, buy 2 get 1...

Monique said...

Okay! Here's my entry and my favorite color is teal -- not the Tiffany color, but deeper and more to the blue side than that.

Julie said...

Too adorable! My only problem would be choosing which kid gets it. A problem I would love to have.

Kristi said...

Those are so cool! She is really talented.

brenna said...

Steph the WonderWorrier said...

OMGZ. I was SO excited to go read all the samples for a HINT of what one of your children's first names are (since your the queen of names, I'm just soooo curious!).

But then there were like, A THOUSAND SAMPLES. LOL.

I will still take my guesses:

Ella Elizabeth stuck out to me for some reason.

And for boys names...
Jack
or
Evan

But I'm probably wrong! lol.

Kelsey said...

Did you see that Harper was there as well? THAT has never happened before!

Frondly said...

I think my last post didn't . . . post. Anyway, what I said was: maybe she'd be willing to wait until some of us have chosen names?
And then what I said was: the name paintings ARE pretty rad.

Kate said...

I'd love to win this for my little sister, who just had her first- Kirsten Elizabeth.

Sam said...

Well, I think it could be Avery. Just a hunch, a wild hunch! And I would be so happy to have a name painting for my Thomas...right now his room is pitifully under decorated!

Giselle said...

Oh, how I would have loved this as a kid. Never never had anything with my name on it (I can hear you crying for me...) My childhood disappointment was one of the main reasons I named my kids "boring" names.

Anyway, cool fun product. I hope that someone with strange kid names wins...

silverhartgirl said...

my favorite is blue

Tess said...

I think Henry's name is Owen.

I would love this prize, thanks Swistle

Jodie said...

So cute. But if I win one, I like a couple of other people will have to buy another so that both kids have one. My life just isn't worth it otherwise.
