Looking for a Low-Barf Greeting Card

If you sell greeting cards online, like in an Etsy shop, would you leave a link in the comment section? I'm looking for a special card for a bridal shower. I went shopping for one today and had a total fail situation: they were all so cheezy, like "May your hopes and dreams water the flowers of bliss in your garden of love" and so forth. I'm looking for something less barfy.

I have an Etsy store for greeting cards. It's here. There aren't many bridal/wedding cards there now but I do already have some others made so I'll photograph some of them and email them your way.

We don't even buy cards anymore. It's a racket, and they're all so GAK-inducing.

I don't sell them, but I am totally with you on the barfy card thing. I have had my best luck with finding Just The Right Card at little Mom n' Pop/Boutique/Funky kinds of stores. They're my favorites.

Or? Find a beautiful blank card, and write a heartfelt note. It could be a few lines, or a whole letter's worth -- but I've found that those are sometimes the only cards I feel really do justice to those people who are truly important to me.

You could get a blank card and write your own inscription inside. I'm rather fond of, "if you last 18 months, I win ten bucks from your brother. So treat each other nice at least that long, eh?"

If nothing else, it will eventually get you out of doing things like giving toasts or going to future baby showers.

Ok here's the deal - Target has awesome cards. Seriously! Besides letterpress/etsy/papyrus, etc it is the only place I will ever buy a card. Please please check it out, I guarantee you will have choices of bridal shower cards there while also picking up socks or garden hose or whatever if you don't have time to mail order. (I usually don't)

I do have an etsy shop - but my note cards are all blank inside - so you can right your own non-barf inducing sentiment - and currently I only have sets and not really "bridal", but for you if you wanted just one, I'd get it for you

I had the same experience on Friday evening. I think I will make one myself for the wedding shower I've got coming up.

I don't sell cheesy cards, but I'm willing to learn.

Why don't they ever have a card with that Einstein picture and inside it says, "Einstein got divorced. Do you think you're smarter than Einstein?"
