Midway Weekend Report

Today at bedtime, Elizabeth thought she'd see what happened if she said "no." Then she thought she'd see what happened if she said "No, I not ready!" Then she thought she'd see what happened if she added "No, YOU do it!"

And so I dealt with her for awhile, first the Training Session and then the Aftermath Snuggles. Then I discovered that while I'd been busy, one of our cats had hopped up onto the kitchen counter, eaten a big chunk of toppings off the leftover pizza, then hopped up ONTO THE TABLE and yorked it up there.

So how's your weekend going?

Oh no!

I hope the second half of your weekend shows improvement! Or at least that it's filled with brownies or something...

This brings me back...and since my sprog is currently in sex ed classes in school, we are talking WAY back, to when he said "No Mommy YOU go to Time Out!"

I wish I could say that he only said it once but since his father guffaw'd right there, it was said twice; I will say it was ONLY twice though :)

Oh the dreaded "no". I get that LOTS from my 3 year old, as in "no Mommy, I don't want to go get a pullup. You get me a pullup". Independence, schmindependence. I can't stand that word.

Sorry to hear you're weekend hasn't been swell so far. Here's to hoping it gets better.

OMG. My grammar is awful. "Your", not "You're"

sigh

Ugh, the no word. Harper has moved on to just running out of the room while I'm feeding Michael or pumping. She's all but saying, "na na you can't catch me!"

I hope your weekend improves.

"Training Session" Bwahahahaha! (Although, ahem, during our Training Sessions, I am most certainly NOT LAUGHING...mostly because I can't figure out who feels worse during them! I feel HORRIBLE when I make my kid feel bad!)

OMG, it's so not funny ... and yet I find myself oddly giggling madly at you coming out to find the cat hork on the table.

Perhaps there was some more yelling and fist shaking directed at the non-humans of the household?

My two-year old likes to smack me on the head when he's trying out 'no'. Did you get smacked in the head? I hope not.

Sunday is sure to be better.

Oh...that's big in our house right now. "I want my purple cup" "Well, go find your purple cup" "I don't wanna go find it, YOU go find it mommy". Lather, rinse, repeat. I feel your pain!

My youngest (almost 7) is having a friend sleepover so my evening has consisted of settling squabbles between the two of them over every frickin thing under the sun. It's taking every fiber of my being not to send the little friend home.

Ps- thanks for coming by and commenting. I am a new blogger and trying to figure all of this out.

Mine has been not so great - but at least there has been no cat puke. Hope your sunday is better!

I've got nuthin' on the backtalk. My backtalker keeps me thinking about trading her in for a pony. Ponies don't talk back!
